Happy Halloween, and happy 1 month birthday to the Brisbane Gothic blog!
Arguably, it is the most wonderful time of the year - Brisbane's weather is delightful and there are many lovely events on this weekend too. One is the screening of the silent film Nosferatu from 1922 at Palace Cinemas. I have not yet seen this film, so I'm looking forward to this screening in preparation for the release of the new Nosferatu film in the New Year.

Description:
As we prepare for the highly anticipated reimagining of Nosferatu by Robert Eggers in the new year, we invite you to celebrate Halloween with a Fright Night Screening of the original 1922 classic that started it all! Directed by F.W. Murnau, Nosferatu (1922) remains one of the most chilling and influential horror films of all time, setting the stage for a century of vampire lore on screen.
In the spirit of this cinematic legacy, we’ve partnered with Nosferatu Distillery to serve the Blood Orange Negroni, a special Halloween cocktail that perfectly captures the dark allure of the undead. Sip on this blood-red drink as you immerse yourself in the shadows of Nosferatu’s eerie, silent world.
And on Halloween... it's only fitting to dress in your finest vampire or gothic attire for a chance to win exclusive prizes from Nosferatu Distillery!
This screening is the perfect lead-up to Robert Eggers' fresh take on the legendary tale, making it a must-see for horror lovers, silent film enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a horrifyingly good Halloween experience.
“Step into the shadows and embrace the legend of Nosferatu…”
